When food bloggers get together, we talk a lot about food. What we’re currently eating, the last thing we ate, and what we can’t wait to eat next. It’s not surprising that conversation at a blogger dinner turned to brunch talk. Breakfast foods are my favorite foods, so I was really excited when fellow Boston bloggers were interested in brunching together. I was even moreexcited when Renee offered to plan the first brunch! A simple idea to have a monthly breakfast with friends was thrown out casually in conversation at a blogger dinner and soon blossomed into a monthly Boston Blogger Brunch. Renee took the helm, inviting us to vote on a place and setting up a date and time, and soon enough a group of about 12 of us found our way to Lord Hobo in Cambridge, Mass., this past Sunday. During a blogger dinner last month at Ristorante Villa Francesca, the topic of brunch came up. For the record, there is nothing food bloggers like more than talking about food, especially when eating food. We were all in agreement that brunch is one of our favorite activities during the weekend and that it would be great for a group of us to get together for brunch sometime. The first official Boston blogger brunch commenced in a cozy residential neighborhood outside Kendall Square at the dark hip Lord Hobo. Lord knows I wasn’t the only one nursing a hangover that morning. Sometimes all the body needs to kick it is a stiff bloody mary and some greasy eggs and toast.
